NEW INVESTMENT SURVEY: SCHOOL ADMINISTRATION

Tell us how new investments in your local schools are having a positive impact on students!

The PA Schools Work coalition is collecting information about investments by school districts that were made possible by state funding increases they received in the 2024-2025 state budget. As we continue to fight for fully, fairly funded public schools, sharing evidence about the impact of the recent state funding increase is critical.

Our goal is to collect stories and examples that will demonstrate the many ways that resources in schools matter and make a positive difference in students’ lives, including improving academic outcomes. We will share these stories with lawmakers, the media, and the public to continue to build support for an adequate, equitable, and constitutional public school funding system in Pennsylvania.

These investments might include

  • Permitting your district to hire new teachers and school staff, improve salaries and benefits, purchase new materials for students, or launch new programs and services; and/or
  • Allowing for the retention of current staff, programs, or services that would have been cut without the additional state funding; and/or

  • Improving district facilities.

We would be deeply grateful if you would be willing to take a few minutes to share information about how your school district is using new state resources to improve opportunities for your students.

Thank you very much for your time! If you have any questions, please contact Susan Spicka at sspicka@educationvoterspa.org

Our school district is receiving “adequacy funding” through the Ready to Learn grant in the 2024-2025 state budget.

We know that districts receiving adequacy funding are submitting applications to PDE detailing how the funds will be used. Here we are looking for stories that will allow Pennsylvanians to know what additional state dollars mean for students. Please respond to any of the following that apply to your school district this year, describing any benefits from the changes.

May we contact you with any follow-up questions?

Please let us know how we may share this information.
